Job Information

Supporting the IS/IT Infrastructure Service Team in different tasks:

– Secure and improve the overall quality, efficiency and availability of the network and datacenter infrastructure

– 2nd and 3rd level service delivery of Client’s internal customers (other divisions) within the region

– Providing datacenter and network capacity

– Ensuring IT service level management for strategic outsourcing agreements

– Safeguarding the daily operations while supporting the Service Desk & Operations through a 2nd level escalation derived from incident management, tasks within the 2nd level problem resolution are executed while even 3rd level problem management is performed with the strategic partners of  the Client.


In reference to infrastructure components and common applications the followings tasks have to be considered from an ITIL perspective:

– Incident Management on 2nd level supporting Service Desk & Operations

– Problem Management on 2nd and 3rd level

– Change Management

– Release Management

– Project delivery as project team member

– Project Management Tasks


Experience Requirements

Good command of English (daily use of written and spoken form)

Other language skills are an advantage

Some practical experience in IT/ IS systems, especially focusing on infrastructure components like servers, local area networks and datacenter aspects:

– Windows Server family is necessary


Also in some of these areas:

– Windows SQL server family

– Experience in Citrix Server family

– Experience in Virtualization technologies (i.e. VMWare)

– Network design, both passive and active components

– Network management (LAN and WAN)

– Cisco switches and routers

– Fundamentals of TCP/ IP

– Experience in IP Telephony and VoIP

– Experience in operational monitoring is an advantage

– Familiarity with ITIL is an advantage


Knowledge / Educational requirements

– Some experience in Service Desk is preferred

– ITIL Foundation Certified

– MCSE or at least selected areas are preferred

– VCP or equivalent experience with Virtual Environment is an advantage

– CCNA  highly considered

– Ability to work independently and be self-motivated and finalize challenging tasks under some coaching and training.

– Positive attitude and ability to solve problems under coaching and training

– Ability to plan, follow through and execute under coaching and training
